Saeco Incanto Automatic Coffee Machine Maintenance

Saeco Incanto RS Automatic Coffee Machine Maintenance

Overview

Saeco Incanto has several sub-models, and across the years, the brew group is progressively changed.  However, 90% of the maintenance part are identical.

This post is to show total maintenance parts when maintaining Incanto.  Please note that most of the o-ring are food grade, which should be orange or red in color.

This post is specifically checked using Incanto Rapid Steam model.  The objective is to provide generic parts, if there is one, which will save the cost compare by buying from coffee machine retailer, or online store.

If you have multiple parts to replace, it is best to search for "repair kit" in eBay, as the total price for the parts and o-ring will be cheaper than getting the parts separately.  Moreover, the o-ring cost will be lowest when it package as repair kit.

Boiler Water Spray

There are 2 o-ring needs to be replaced if you see water leak below this spray head.  Once you remove the brew group, if there is water stain right below this part, then the o-ring needs to be replaced:
  1. ID 5mm, thickness 2mm, or ID 5mm, OD 9mm
  2. ID 9mm, thickness 2mm, or ID 9mm, OD 13mm

Brew Group Piston O-Ring (Part # NM01.044)

If you see coffee leak from this area, then you will need to replace this o-ring.  Another way to determine it is failing is to check whether it is wet above the o-ring.

Ensure the upper filter is properly seated, and not bend, as this could also cause the coffee leak as well, although the upper filter will be wet in this case.
  1. Dimension 36-42mm: thickness 3mm, inner diameter (ID) 36mm, outer diameter (OD) 42mm

Brew Group Hot Water Adapter

This adapter is located towards the rear of the brew group, and connecting to the hot water supply from the boiler.  This non-food grade o-ring could leak with aged.
  1. ID 6.07mm, thickness 1.78mm, or ID 6.07mm, OD 9.63mm

Brew Group Upper Filter/Screen

While removing the upper filter for cleaning (monthly routine), if it accidentally dropped on the floor, it might bend this filter.  A replacement filter is needed, and Incanto uses several different design for this filter, as well as the filter holder.  Following are some pictures.  There is no generic cheap part for it.  All Incanto uses 35.8mm filter, and don't confuse with other Saeco machine's dimension
Take note of the flat surface around the perimeter of the disc.  There should be no hole around the outside ring, else it will leak (not compatible).  This is used by Incanto Rapid Steam
The filter holder has 2 extended legs, and the disc doesn't has the plastic cap like above

This one just use screw, and there is no additional plastic holder
